Renovation of a water / sewer project in Placerville, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The El Dorado Hills Wastewater Treatment Plant utilizes a belt press to dewater digested sludge before trucking and disposing of off site. The belt press reduces the water content such that the liquid digested sludge becomes a solid cake. The reduction in water content greatly reduces trucking and disposal expenses as well as ensure regulatory compliance. This belt press was originally purchased as a used piece of equipment and installed in 1997. The wiring, control panel, and VFD display have significant corrosion and deterioration. In addition, EID staff does not have the current control logic documented. This project is to investigate and document current control logic, develop bid documents, and construct replacement electrical and control components. This project is included in the El Dorado Irrigation District's FY 2023 - 2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of April 6, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. Construction is anticipated in FY 2026.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
