Questions shall be definite and certain and shall reference applicable drawing sheets, notes, details or specification sheets.
The cutoff date to submit questions regarding this project is 5 p.m. on January 10, 2020. No questions will be entertained after this date.
The answers to questions submitted during the bidding period will be published in an addendum and provided to those bidding the project on January 13, 2020 The City of Carlsbad reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularity or informality in such bids. The Contractor shall provide bonds to secure faithful performance and warranty of the work in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price on this project. The Contractor shall provide bonds to secure payment of laborers and materials suppliers, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract. These bonds shall be kept in full force and effect during the course of this project and shall extend in full force and effect and be retained by the City until they are released as stated in the General Provisions section of this contract. All bonds are to be placed with a surety insurance carrier admitted and authorized to transact the business of insurance in California and whose assets exceed their liabilities in an amount equal to or in excess of the amount of the bond.
