Renovation of an educational facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project has been awarded but award amount was not confirmed. The undersigned reserves the right to waive informalities or defects in a bid to the extent permitted under Pennsylvania Law and to reject any or all bids. Scope: Eagleville Elementary School was completed in 2002. From early on water and insect infiltration has been an issue. Façade studies have been completed that document inconsistencies and irregularities in construction. The current project is to repair flashing, sealant and weep work on the north side of the building. The north half of the building consists of a 2-story multipurpose room and one-story classroom and support spaces constructed of 8" CMU with brick veneer. The south half of building is a two-story brick veneer on metal stud construction. A future project to fully address the issues with the south half will be completed at a later time. Limited work on the south half of the building has been documented as alternate work.
