Demolition and site work for a detention facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
This project consists of the demolition of the former Montgomery County Prison located in Norristown, PA. See Attachment A for Drawings showing the areas. Project Specifications and all Contractors must also meet the Pennsylvania Separations Act, meet the Multiple Prime Contractors Requirements and meet the County Responsible Contractor Ordinance. Utility Coordination: Three (3) working days prior to excavation, the Contractor must contact the PA One Call system, Inc. (1-800-242-1776) to obtain construction serial number, which shall be provided to the County. All Contractors and other persons are cautioned to comply with the requirements of PA Act 287 of 1974 as amended by Act 121 of 2008. Each individual must verify location and depth of all underground utilities and facilities before starting work. The contractor shall coordinate with the appropriate utility company contact persons. All manholes and valve boxes within the project area shall be adjusted to grade by the contractor, if required. If utility conflicts are encountered during construction, the contractor shall immediately inform the County andmake arrangements for the relocation of the necessary utilities at no cost to the County A performance bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) A payment bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) Question Deadline 06/19/2023 at 12:00 PM ET
