Site work for a mixed-use development in Santa Clarita, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Removal and disposal of existing field, soil prep for new turf install. Bid Valid: 120 Days Online Q&A: Yes Q&A Deadline: January 30, 2020 11:00 AM (Pacific) This project will provide for the removal and replacement of the sports field on multi-purpose field #3 at Central Park. The project will remove the existing turf grass surface, lower the grade of the field, incorporate soil amendments, and install large roll hybrid Bermuda grass sod to quickly establish the new surface and improve upon the older varieties of grass currently being used. The new varieties of hybrid Bermuda grass were developed for shorter dormancy periods, resistance to disease, and increased density for better play. This will be the first sports field replaced in an annual effort to provide a safe, high quality playing surface to our residents. Generally, the scope of work to be performed includes, but not limited to, clear and grub existing turf grass and dispose of off-site; excavate 2" depth of soil to be dumped on-site; distribution of soil amendments over excavated area (amendments to be provided by City); and utilizing a Rotodarion, shall mix amendments homogeneously into native soil at a 8" to 10" depth.
