Site work and paving for a road / highway in Saint-Leonard, Quebec. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project of phased major renovations to the east sector of the Metropolitan highway (highway 40) in the Municipality of Montreal. The scope of work includes upgrades to 5.2 km of road including repairs/replacement of 32 structures, rebuilding the slides and the exterior side of the slabs, repairing the top and bottom of slabs, columns and headers, modernization of drainage systems, replacement of deck expansion joints, lighting systems and intelligent transportation systems. TIMELINE: Preparation of plans and specification is underway and is carried out by construction packages. The owner has issued a request for proposals for soil and material testing during the construction of the first package that is now followed in the report under CRM ID name Autoroute 40 - East Sector Upgrades - Soil and Material Testing. Tender for the contractor of the first construction package is anticipated in summer 2026. Notes: - The project is included into the list of major projects of of the Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat under the number 323. - The project will be implemented jointly with the repair work on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel. - The owner is performing some maintenance work and spot resurfacing in the area pending completion of the main project design and tendering process.
