Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Ashland City, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of October 14,2020 FTM Contracting was the awarded bidder. Tentative start date is Nov. 20,2020. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: site work and new construction of a 12, 460 square foot municipal facility. As of July 29, 2020, a general contractor has not been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for the project has not been released. Cheatham County Government is accepting bids for the Cheatham County Highway Department Garage Project. Bidders are required to be licensed contractors in accordance with state laws. Cheatham County reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids. Prime contractors must register with the architect as a bidder of record electronically All bid information will be available to all bidders once registered. This project consists of the construction of three structures for the Cheatham County Highway Department for the purposes of vehicle maintenance, salt storage and fuel dispensing. Proposed is a 9,952 SF Vehicle Maintenance Building with administrative office space, a 2,508 SF Quonset Hut for salt storage and a Fuel Station with canopy. The Vehicle Maintenance Building is a pre-engineered metal buildingstructure. The salt storage shed is the typical Quonset Hut style with a vaulted roof structure supported by concrete walls. The Fuel Station will be under a metal canopy. All structures have concrete slabs and foundations. The Vehicle Maintenance Building has heating only with suspended unit heaters and wall mounted exhaust fans. The administrative office space is heated and cooled with ground mounted packages units. The Quonset Hut and the Fuel Station are under cover, but open to the outside air. Sitework includes drives, parking, fencing and motorized sliding gates. The Fuel Station work and its canopy will be bid out separately by the Owner under a separate contract. Questions are due by 12:00 PM on Monday July 27, 2020
