Site work and paving for a civil project in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Construction of Emmertsen Road Reconstruction consists of approximately 1,600 feet of reconstructed roadway of Emmertsen Road from north of S. 16th Street to Washington Avenue. The reconstruction also includes pavement marking along Emmertsen Road north of Washington Avenue to CTH C. A new storm sewer system and storm water detention pond will be constructed as part of the project. A summary of the proposed improvements includes: pavement sawcutting, pavement and storm sewer removals, storm sewer installation, construction of storm water detention pond, curb and gutter, excavation, signing and pavement marking, asphaltic pavement, traffic control, and erosion control. Major work items and approximate quantities include: 3,100 tons of asphaltic pavement, 3,200 linear feet of curb and gutter, 8,200 tons of base aggregate dense, 2,850 linear feet of varied sized (12-inch through 54-inch) reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe, 20,500 feet of pavement marking, 675 square feet of MSE retaining wall, and 16,000 cubic yards of excavation common. This is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above and on the Bid Schedule are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. Failure to list subcontractors or suppliers may be cause for rejection of the Bid. All bidders, and sub-contractors, must file a "3-Year Contractor's Qualification Application," and other documents with the Bid All applications that were previously approved under the last 3-year cycle expired on 1/31/2016. Therefore, all bidders and subcontractors that did not submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, must submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner, subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price. substantially complete the PROJECT no later than Friday August 28, 2020, with final completion Thursday, September 3, 2020. Construction is anticipated to begin on or after June 15, 2020
