Site work and paving for a civil project in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Contract 1 - Access Road Repair - Repair flood and erosion damaged access roads at nine (9) locations. Work consists of stone placement, grading, fill, compaction, and site clearing. Contract 2 - Culvert Repair - Replace and repair culverts at three (3) locations. Culvert diameters range from 18" to 36". Work consists of excavation, culvert placement, grading, fill, compaction and site clearing. Contract 3 - Spillway Channel Repair - Replace riprap material that was washed out downstream from spillways at three (3) locations. Work consists of riprap placement, grading, fill, compaction and site clearing. The particular items of work for each contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Documents. The each contract will be awarded separately. Questions regarding the bid shall be accepted through the PennBid Program until Friday, February 14, 2020 until noon. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Township Authority or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. PA Prevailing Wage Rates apply. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations, and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. However, the award of the contracts may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or closing on the project funding loans. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 120 days of the bid opening.
