Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
his project proposes to enhance pedestrian, transit, and bicycle safety and mobility by improving the existing corridor to better accommodate the Complete Streets needs in the area. Drainage and vehicular turning movement improvements are also a priority along the corridor. Green Infrastructure and Railroad crossing improvements will also be considered. The MOVEBR Program will work with the selected consultants, DOTD, business owners, public stakeholders, and local interest groups for this project. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049. As of October 17, 2023, the project is in design.
