Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project proposes to enhance pedestrian and cyclist mobility. Signalized intersection improvements may also be required at major intersections. Findings from both the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Improvement Project study and the Plank Road Master Plan must be taken into consideration for this project. It should be noted that the Plank Rd Corridor Enhancement, Segment 1 (N 22nd to Dawson Dr) Project limits and scope have been incorporated into the overall scope of the BRT Improvement Project as the overall BRT route includes this section of roadway. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049.
