Rehabilitation of the Isgonish Aboiteau dam located in Colchester County along Highway 2. The aboiteau separates the Bay of Fundy to the south from the upper area of the Chiganois River to the north and supports the Highway 2 roadway. The existing structure is approximately 36.58 metres (m) in overall length and consists of a 3-cell concrete box culvert complete with concrete headwalls and 3 steel tidal gates (approximately 1.83 m x 10.05 m each) on the downstream side. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Tender and construction timelines are subject to regulatory approvals. Further update may be available in 2026. *Budget is unreleased.
