Renovation of a fire / police facility in Kenner, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Roof Repair Fire Station #39 To repair the roofleaks in the Engine Garage area as follows: Remove the shingles out along the raised wall ofthe 2nd floor area approximately 6 feet. Remove felt in open area. Replace up to 3 full sheets of plywood in 2 rotten areas. There are 2 sunken the plain ofthe roof within the designed repair area along the wall. Reinstall the 15 lb felt with round head roofing nails. Install a minimum of 18" wide ice and water shield from under the wall flashing out onto the felt. Inspect the wall flashing while roofis still open. Let owner know of any holes/issues requiring wall flashing needing repair or replacement while roofis open. Pick up and replace short horizontal valley on top of wall area while shingles are removed. Add long piece of valley to make sure water is not getting under valley area. Add ice & water under this area prior to install of metal. Higher on roof, there are two areas that have wind scoured. Upon to 20 shingles will be replaced with similar look and color. Caulk the front right side corner ofthe siding area above the short single roof on the face of the 2nd floor.
