As of 04/17/2020 the Subdrains Project has been canceled and no plans on rebidding the project. The work included in this project shall consist of the following: Installation of approximately 7,000 LF of subdrains. Further information and Instructions for Bidders may be obtained from the Department of Aviation at (209) 468-4707. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the contract price to secure fulfillment of all the bidder's obligations under such contract. The successful bidder will further be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond for 100 percent of the contract price to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Working Days: The total number of days for completion of the Base Bid and Bid Alternate No. 1 work covered by this contract shall be sixty (60) calendar days. The time begins on the date of written notice to proceed issued by the County and includes ten (10) calendar days for Mobilization. The contract will be awarded on the basis of UNIT BID price and will provide for progressive payments and liquidated damages as fixed in the specifications. All proposals shall in all respects comply with the Instructions to Bidders and Contract Documents. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidder. This project is being bid with a Base Bid and Bid Alternate. The County will award the project based on the low bid of the Base Bid PLUS Bid Alternate No. 1. The County reserves the right to define the project as the Base Bid depending on funds available. The award of this project is contingent upon a grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration and acceptance of the grant offer by the Stockton Metropolitan Airport. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of the Business and Professions Code. A Class A or C10 license is required for this project. The Board of Supervisors of the County of San Joaquin reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids or to utilize any alternate procedures as authorized by California Public Contracts Code Sections 20166 and 20167, and accept such bids as are to the best interest of the County.
