Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

This project involves the superstructure replacement of Ludwig Road over Schlegel Run. The proposed superstructure replacement is a single span composite P/S concrete spread box beambridge. The structure will have a 40'-9" span length and will be placed at a 68 degree skew. This structure width will provide for two (2) 10'-0" lanes, two (2) 2'-5" shoulders and vertical wall barriers with architectural treatment on both faces. The Contractor shall have Thirty (180) Calendar Days from the date of the written Notice-To-Proceed to complete the project in accordance with the conditions, specifications and provisions as set forth in this contract. In accordance with the Public Works Contractors' Bond Law of 1967, Act of Dec. 20, 1967, P.L. 869, No. 385 any Contract for construction, reconstruction, alteration or repair of any public building or other public work in an amount exceeding Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) the Contractor shall furnish to County the following bonds, which shall be binding upon the award of said Contract to such Contractor: A performance bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract sum, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract in accordance with the Contract Documents shall be submitted. Such bond shall be executed on the form contained in the Bid Documents and shall be solely for the protection of County. A payment bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract sum shall be submitted. Such bond shall be executed on the form contained in the Bid Documents and shall be solely for the protection of claimants supplying labor and materials to the Contractor, or to any of the Contractor's subcontractors, in the prosecution of the work provided for in such Contract, and shall be conditioned upon the prompt delivery of such materials furnished or labor supplied or performed in the prosecution of the work. A labor and material bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract sum shall be submitted. Such bond shall be executed for the sole purpose for the protection of the subcontractors, laborers, and materials suppliers associated with the project.
