Berks-Montgomery Municipal Authority is accepting bids for the supply of Chemicals for Phosphate Removal. Chemicals for Phosphate Removal 1. Liquid Aluminum Sulfate 8% Al2O3. (CAS No. 10043-01) Meet specification of AWWA B403-82 and comply with NSF/ANSI-60 standards. Anticipated purchase: up to 120 (dry) tons. Include the following analysis for the proposed chemical: strength, free acid, organic matter, freezing point, specific gravity, arsenic, cadmium, chromium (trivalent), chromium (hexavalent), copper, mercury, lead, iron, zinc, nickel, free cyanide, suspended solids, settleable solids, and total phenolics (4-AAP). Propose pricing per dry ton. Price shall include bulk delivery to the West Swamp Creek Sewage Treatment Plant, 148 Municipal Dr. Gilbertsville, PA and be fixed for the term of the contract. Upon award, provide a suitable bond with reasonable requirements to guarantee delivery of the chemicals. Value the surety at 50 percent of the cost of the estimated contract amount. Note any deviations from the above requirements. Proposals deviating from the requirements will be considered on its relative merit. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
