It w ill be aw arded using the Best Value Trade-Off process. The preliminary scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to, design, construction, and demolition required to replace 15,000 LF of O/H and 19,700 LF of U/G 15kV class electrical distribution that comprises Circuits 2 and 3 at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas. Line replacement will include all associated appurtenances including pad mounted transformers and sw itchgear, metering, street lighting, and manholes connected using concrete encased duct banks. Where feasible reutilize existing manholes and duct banks and provide new w here required. Replace 12,000 LF of street lighting with new along 1st and 9th Avenues and along Avenue J and Moates Avenue. Replace lightning protection and grounding systems. Provide U/G distribution configuration in compliance w ith UFC 3-550-01. Provide energy smart metering. To be performed at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas. IAW FAR 36.204 the Magnitude of Construction Project is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The Contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 816 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
