Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Guilford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Any questions regarding the specifications may be directed, in writing only, to Rick Maynard, Director of Parks and Recreation at maynardr@ci.guilford.ct.us with a copy to the Purchasing Department at millmanp@ci.guilford.ct.us. Each bidder will be required to submit to the Office of the First Selectman, their original proposal with one (1) copy, one (1) electronic copy, and a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid. Each bidder shall honor the bid price for ninety (90) business days from the date of the bid opening, without modification. Upon award of the bid, the winning bidder shall be bound by the bid proposal price throughout the contract period. The minimum rates to be paid labor of the various classifications on this project shall be in accordance with current schedule of Prevailing Wages as established by the State of Connecticut, Department of Labor, Wage and Workplace Standards Division. Refer to the prevailing wage rates included within the specifications. The Town of Guilford reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to waive defects in same, if it deems such to be in the best interest of the Town.
