Site work for a water / sewer project in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided and shall include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Project Description and Location: HAR872234B Nutrient Reduction Wetland Project Section 34, Township 87 North, Range 22 West Hardin County, Iowa Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor. In general, the work involves, but is not limited to, selective clearing, excavation, grading, steel sheet pile weir construction, tile installation, CMP water control structure, and seeding. This project includes around 14,420 cubic yards of earthwork, 2,870 square feet of sheet pile, 2,089 linear feet of tile installation, 1,050 tons of riprap, 200 cubic yards of grout, and 27.1 acres of seeding. The estimated construction cost range for this project is $400,000 to $470,000. In order to be included on the plan holders list, which is required to be able to receive meeting minutes, addenda and an updated plan holders list, interested parties must make a written or verbal request to the Division by telephone: 515-281-4246, or by e-mail: mary.baker@iowaagriculture.gov. Bidders who attend and sign-in to the pre-bid conference will be added to the plan holders list. Plans and Construction Specifications can be viewed at the Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District. Printed copies of specifications and plans will be provided to the successful bidder. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Questions concerning the Plans and Construction Specifications should be in writing and addressed to Nate Anderson, P.E., nanderson@WHKS.com, and must copy Casey Judge, Division (casey.judge@iowaagriculture.gov). All other questions concerning other Contract Documents should be addressed to Casey Judge, Division, casey.judge@iowaagriculture.gov or 515-725-4119. In order to be considered in a final addendum, written questions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on February 19, 2020. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities.
