Renovation of a municipal facility in Bethpage, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Bethpage Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. The purpose of the project is to install new vapor carbon units and remain on call for one year for service and change out, should those services be needed. Work beyond the initial installation and start up shall be performed on an as-needed basis when authorized by the District in writing. The Contractor shall report to the facility within seven (7) calendar days after notification from the District. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Installation of two (2) vapor phase carbon units. 2. Project Closeout submittals 3. Exchange of vapor phase carbon units upon request of the Owner. 4. Provide field services during startup
