As of March 6, 2020 project was awarded to Bituminous Roadways Inc. amount of $272,700.00 . The project will start on June 4th and will be completed on or before September 1st. For 2020 Pavement Rehabilitation at Cooper High School Student Parking Lot 1. Coordinate all work with Owner and Engineer. a. Contractor shall provide Owner with a minimum of three days advance notice prior to the start of construction. b. The School Building will be occupied by District staff, students, and District/ Community programs throughout the construction time frame. 2. Contractor shall protect and utilize techniques to prevent damage to existing site facilities scheduled to remain. 3. Install erosion control devices prior to beginning earthwork activities. 4. Reclaim existing bituminous pavement and underlying soils in the Student Parking Lot to a depth of 9 inches. 5. Grade and compact reclaimed bituminous/aggregate base material to allow for positive surface drainage and maximize reuse of reclaimed material on-site. 6. Schedule and perform proof-roll of prepared base in the presence of the Engineer. 7. Where required by Engineer, perform subgrade corrections by excavating existing soils and replacing with reclaimed bituminous/aggregate base. 8. Remove excess reclaimed material from the site. 9. Place new bituminous pavement over prepared base, in two lifts, as shown on the Project Drawings. 10. Stipe the Student Parking Lot, including: parking stalls; disability parking insignias; disability access aisles with "No Parking" lettering; crosshatched no parking areas; and concrete curbing in no parking areas. 11. The following quantity is provided for the Contractor's convenience only. a. 3-1/2" bituminous over reclaimed aggregate base: 8,780 square yards The following quantity should be bid as specified. If the quantity increases or decreases during the construction process, the unit price provided will be used to adjust the Contract amount. a. Subgrade corrections (compacted volume): 300 cubic yards Copies of the Bidding Documents will be on file and available for inspection at Inspec, 5801 Duluth Street, Golden Valley, Minnesota 55422. No oral, telegraphic, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Each bidder must accompany his bid with a Responsible Contractor Compliance Affidavit and a Cashier's Check, Bid Bond, or Certified Check equal to 5% of the total amount of the Bid, payable to Independent School District #281 as a guarantee of prompt execution of the contract in accordance with the Bid and Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond The complete form shall be without alterations, additions, or erasures. All bids must be on a lump sum basis. Robbinsdale Area Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. By Final Completion, it is intended that all work included as part of this Contract be completed, including punch-list items and completion of final submittals.
