Contract Description: Work of the Project includes construction services for the streambank stabilization solution along the Oak Creek streambank as indicated in the project Bid documents. Project Completion: Project should achieve substantial completion of work within 60 days between 7/1/22 and 9/15/22. Contractors shall employ a minimum of 50% of the Contract labor force with employees that reside in Milwaukee County (see Bid Documents for RESIDENCY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS). Completed LCPtracker Labor Compliance software documentation is required. BIDDERS WHO SUBMIT A BID SHALL OBTAIN DOCUMENTS AND BE A PLAN HOLDER OF RECORD AT BID EXPRESS. Bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity" (Executive Order 11246), contained in the Bid Documents, which set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area. PRIME CONTRACTORS SHALL BE QUALIFIED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 43 OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY ORDINANCE. Bidders shall submit the completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry with the Bid. Failure to submit this information with Bid may result in rejection of the Bid as non-responsive. A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with bid. The low responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves right to reject bid, to waive informalities in bid or to accept bid which will be in best interest of Owner. Base Bid shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 60 days after bid due date. Interested parties, such as Contractors, Subcontractors, Material Suppliers, delivery personnel, etc., who wish to check site conditions are urged to attend this pre-bid conference. Project related questions and site conditions will be discussed and a tour of the Work area will be conducted. Personnel from Milwaukee County will be present to answer questions, review site conditions and conduct tour of facility.
