The Work for which bids are asked includes the following: renovation of existing headworks area, vertical screen, and grit removal system installation, alteration of the existing building, renovation of the pump pit area, site work, and process piping modification. Requests for paper plans are to be accompanied by the General Engineering Plan Request Form (PRF). The form is available on the company website or at its office. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. The Contract shall be subject to Section 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes pertaining to municipal wage scales and Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract, Non-Segregated Facility, and E.O. 11246 Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids may be funded in part by a grant from the Department of Natural Resources Clean Water Fund Program. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), including Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE), are encouraged to submit bid proposals.
