Site work and paving for a road / highway in North Bend, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

WSDOT will use a two-step procurement process to select a Design-Build Contractor to deliver the Project. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is issued as the first step to solicit information in the form of Statements of Qualifications (SOQ). The SOQs will be evaluated to create a short-list of the most highly qualified Design-Builders. The short-listed Design Builders will then be issued a Request for Proposals (RFP). The proposals will be evaluated and WSDOT will select the proposal that provides the best value, based on price and other factors. This information is preliminary and is subject to change. Under no circumstances should the advertisement information be used for bidding or construction purposes Engineer's Estimate: DB Contract approximately $85 to $110 Million. Prequalification: Maximum Bidding Capacity in the amount of $110 Million or higher and Work Class 1 in the amount of $30 Million or higher. Scope of Work: The project will construct a four-lane Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) at the I-90 and SR 18 interchange in combination with the widening of SR 18 to four lanes to improve traffic operations and safety and reduce congestion at the I-90 and SR 18 interchange and along the SR 18 mainline. The Project shall include, but not limited to, the following: Design and construction of fish passable water crossing structures, including all associated stream restoration.
