Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of October 7, 2020 this project has been awarded to Decker’s Hardscaping & Landscaping in the amount of $300,751.44. The project has a base bid and 2 possible alternatives. The base bid will generally include clearing and grading of the project area, the construction of accessible parking spaces, sidewalks and a picnic pavilion. The dog park will include a fence enclosure with access gates for maintenance and pedestrian use. It shall also include the construction of a new path to the existing paths. This will also include realignment and resurfacing of some of the adjacent trails. The project area will include but are not limited to site amenities such as drinking fountains, kiosk, park signs, picnic tables and litter receptacles.The project will be topsoil and seeded, shade trees and landscaping will also be installed. Alternate A will include concrete and the installation of drinking fountains. Alternate B will include the installation of Sod. The Contractor shall fail or refuse to regard laws, ordinances or regulations or otherwise to be guilty of a violation of any provisions of the contract or the Scope of Work therein, then and in such event, the Owner, without prejudice or any rights or remedy it may have, may give seven (7) days notice to the Contractor to terminate the employment of the Contractor and his right to proceed, either as to the entire work or at the option of the Owner as to any portion thereof as to which delay shall have occurred, and may take possession of the work and complete the work by the Contractor or otherwise, as the Owner may deem expedient. In such case, the Contractor shall not be entitled to receive any further payment until the work is finished. If the unpaid balance of the compensation to be paid the Contractor hereunder shall exceed the expense of so completing the work, including compensation for additional managerial, administrative and inspection services and any damages for delay, such excess shall be paid to the Contractor. If such expense shall exceed such unpaid balance, the Contractor and his sureties shall be liable to the Owner for such expenses. If the right of the Contractor to proceed with the work is terminated, the Owner may take possession of and utilize in completing the work such materials, appliances, supplies, drawings, and equipment, as may be on the site of the work and necessary therefore. If the Owner does not terminate the right of the Contractor to proceed, the Contractor shall continue the work. All Work Complete - One Hundred Twenty (120) Calendar Days Attach bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. BONDS. CONTRACTOR shall furnish to the TOWNSHIP a combination performance and payment bond and, at the completion of the work, a two (2) year maintenance bond, each in the amount of 100% of the final contract price, with such sureties as shall be approved by the TOWNSHIP as detailed and described below. Pursuant to n.J.S.A. 40a:11-23c, addenda may be issued for bids. It is the sole responsibility of the person submitting the bid to be Knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Copies of addenda and notice of same will be made available on the Township website and will be forwarded as prescribed by law to all Vendors who have purchased specifications and have registered with The purchasing department. The applicant/proposer shall submit one (1) original with original Signatures marked original and two (2) complete and exact copies of The original marked copy of his/her proposal and must submit an Electronic copy on a cd or flash drive. The township council reserves the right to reject all proposals Pursuant to n.J.S.A. 40a:11-13.2 (rejection of bids) and to waive such Minor informalities as may be permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of n.J.S.A. 10:5-31 Et seq. And n.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., mandatory equal employment opportunity Requirements
