This project is to fund for the extension of the eastbound right turn lane along Miramar Parkway from Dykes Road and ending at the southbound entrance ramp to I-75. The scope of work includes earthwork, asphalt pavement, curbing, reconfiguration of sidewalk, drainage improvements and relocation of structures including a guide sign and post for I-75 traffic. This project will connect and complement a proposed additional northbound right turn lane along Dykes Road to Miramar Parkway which is a condition of site plan approval for the proposed Lennar residential development. FDOT have agreed to include the construction of this right turn lane extension as part of their bicycle lane project along Dykes Road. The City will be entering into a JPA with FDOT that entail the design and construction responsibilities of FDOT and the City to provide funding for the construction of the project to FDOT As of February 25, 2022, this project is currently in the City of Miramar's FY 2022-2026 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
