Remodeling and renovation of a municipal facility in Pocatello, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Scale Deck Replacement for Idaho Transportation Department. The Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD), through the Idaho Division of Purchasing ("DOP"), is requesting Bids from qualified Vendors for a Scale Deck Replacement in accordance with the specifications provided in this ITB. Question Submission Close Date : 3/23/2020 10:15 AM MDT Removal and disposal of old 12’ x 20’ scale deck, weighbridge, and stands Provide a new scale deck, which must fit into existing scale pit, existing pit is approximately 12’ x 20’ and have a minimum thickness of 6” New Scale deck must be approved by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) and carry the manufacturer’s warranty. New load cells and all new assemblies required by the manufacturer for proper operation of the scale deck New stands must be hot dipped galvanized to prevent corrosion New weighbridge, the weighbridge must have a minimum of two (2) coats of zinc chromate primer and a minimum of two coats of epoxy or industrial enamel New Scale deck must be constructed with a level finish surface, no cross slope will be allowed New Scale deck must use epoxy coated rebar #4 with a minimum of 2” coverage over the rebar Chairs or Doobies may be used to keep the rebar at proper height. The rebar must be 8” to 12” on center in both directions New bumper bolts and plates must be installed to check movement New weighbridge must be 24” tall and sixty-eight (68) lbs. per foot type I-Beam. A taller I-Beam may be used upon approval from ITD’s Electronic Digital Equipment Specialist (EDES). New Scale deck must have a cross member I-Beam every 24” to 36” along the entire length of the weigh bridge. A gusset must be welded to the inside bottom of each cross member and run down to the bottom of the main I-Beam. The cross member must be 6” x 6” and twenty-five (25) lbs per foot. Outriggers must be installed at each cross member location and gusseted back to the bottom of the weighbridge. The outrigger gussets must extend, at a minimum, to the center of the outrigger but 3/4” of the length is preferred by ITD. Outriggers must be 6”x6” and twenty-five (25) lbs per foot. New Scale deck coping must be 6” standard channel and be C6 x 8.2 lbs per foot. Nelson studs (6” x ¾”) must be welded inside the Scale deck coping every eighteen inches (18”) Nelson studs (3” x ¾”) must be welded along the top of both weighbridges every 24” to prevent deck movement. Angle iron may also be used to prevent deck shift but must be approved by the EDES. New Scale deck must have ¾” clearance, on all sides, between deck to pit wall, and must use rock guard. Stay in place forms, such as corrugated tin, may be used on top of the weighbridge to support the new concrete deck. Corrugated tin must have a minimum thickness of twenty-nine (29) gauge.
