Potential respondents to the solicitation are encouraged to carefully review all the materials contained herein and prepare responses accordingly. General Project Description (See Bid Documents for complete details): For barracks 2016 & 2014, inspect and repair soffit, fascia and drip edge as necessary. Install 4"x 36" high split face concrete block wainscot with associated foundation and cap around perimeter of building. Clean and prepare existing block walls for wainscot and stucco. Remove siding and fur wall out even with adjacent concrete block as necessary and install pressure treated sheathing with appropriate waterproof membrane and wire lath to receive stucco. Install stucco from top of new cap to soffit. Replace all exterior doors with Solid Core Steel doors and new Best Lever Handle Hardware and Cores per CBJTC criteria. Remove existing screen doors and fill in hinge recesses on frame prior to paint. Replace all windows with new vinyl framed, fixed, insulated, low-e windows. Install flashing under windows over the precast cap. Inspect all exterior mechanical equipment and service/repair/replace as necessary. Color scheme to match building #2023. Remove monitor/clerestory roof and furnish and install new 24 gauge standing seam metal roof system over new Grace Ice and Water Shield or equivalent. Approved vendors for metal roof system: Gulf Coast Supply - Gulfseam Hidden screw metal roof systems or Berridge Manufacturing Co - Cee-Lock. Finish Kynar 500 Finish with Sierra Tan color 16 1/2 " with Striation. Furnish and install new eve drip, color to match roofing. Furnish and install spray foam insulation to the bottom of the roof deck, minimum R30 or higher. Install 1 5/8" metal framing on inside of exterior walls. Install 1 1/2 " rigid foam insulation, and 5/8" GWB. Finish will be level 5. Extend all data, power outlets and switches flush with new GWB. Patch ceiling as needed. Furnish and apply new ceiling paint and interior wall paint. Remove all flooring (VCT) and patch all cracks in slab and seal concrete slab. Furnish and install new Hollow Core Steel doors and frames at both interior door locations. Provide lockset in accordance with CBJTC design criteria. Furnish and install new solid surface window sills, to be approved by CBJTC. Furnish and install 2" white plastic window blinds. All colors, materials and mechanical specifications will be approved by the owner. All work to be done in accordance with plans from Akel, Logan and Shafer. All debris will be removed and disposed of off CBJTC property. Building must meet Florida Building Code, State Fire Marshall, local Authorities Having Jurisdiction and Area Water Management requirements, and any other permits and fees required by other county, local or state authorities. As required, regulatory permitting to include the preparation, submittal, payment and review coordination of the Water Management District, Environmental Resource Permit (including permit fees), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Notice of Intent (including filing fees), Clay County Review Permit Fee, and any other permits and fees required by other county, local or state authorities. After the bid opening, the low bidder must qualify in accordance with Chapter 60D-5.004.
