Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Greenville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of May 28, 2020, this project is awaiting the owner's approval. Construction is anticipated to begin fall, 2020. As of September 17, 2020: This project is set to start construction in October 2020 and be completed by May 2023 Bid Packages: BP-001 Erosion Control and Sitework BP-002 Masonry BP-003 Structural Steel BP-004 Roofing and Translucent Skylight Assemblies BP-006 Doors, Frames, and Hardware BP-008 Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings T. A. Loving Company will receive sealed bids for portions of this Project as specified herein and in the Instructions to Bidders until the dates and times indicated. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Failure to submit a Bid prior to the due date and time may be cause for rejection. Procedures for submitting a Bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of Bids, and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders. All rights are reserved to reject any or all Bids, waive any informalities, or to award such contract as in its judgement is deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner. Only Bids from Pre-Qualified Bidders will be accepted. A complete listing of Pre-Qualified Bidders may be found in the Bidder's Manual for this project. The Project consists of a 10 MGD upgrade to existing water treatment facility, to include new rapid mix/pre-chemical structure, new sludge blanket clarifier, four (4) new dual media filters, new bulk chemical storage facility, new clearwell pumping station, and associated sitework, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and site piping. The Greenville Utilities Commission has adopted a resolution that requires the Commission to solicit minority and women owned businesses to Bid on the Project. The established goals for this project are a 7% goal for minority participation and 4% goal for women participation. Bidders are also required to make good faith efforts to secure Bids from Minority and Women Owned Businesses. The Project will be funded in whole or in part by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). Applicable requirements of the DWSRF shall apply, including, but not limited to, MBE/WBE (DBE) utilization, Davis-Bacon Act, and American Iron and Steel (AIS) provisions.
