Middletown Township intends to create a railroad quiet zone at the Woodboume Station at-grade crossing on Woodboume Road (S.R. 2033). The improvements that are the subject of this bid package consist of, but are not limited to: ADA compliant concrete sidewalk and ADA curb ramp construction, relocation of signs, installation of new signs, and pavement striping. The project also includes installation of vehicular and pedestrian automatic gates with flashing light signals adjacent to the at-grade crossing. Work related to the automatic gates is the responsibility of SEPTA and will be performed under a separate contract. The scope of work associated with this bid package is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and on the Project Plans. Provide maintenance and protection of traffic, as shown on the project plans for the contract work and work by SEPTA to install new automatic gates. Install erosion and sediment controls as shown on the project plans. Remove existing features as indicated on the project plans, including but not limited to, concrete and asphalt sidewalks. Install new concrete sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, cheek walls or depressed curb and detectable warning surfaces as shown on the project plans. ADA curb ramps shall be installed where directed on the project plans. In general, the new ADA curb ramps are to be constructed to the lines and grades shown on the project plans.
