Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Berkeley, California. Working plans call for the construction of a 380,000-square-foot data center facility; educational facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.

The Gateway project will be located on the north side of campus on Hearst Ave at Arch Street. The project consists of an approximately 380,000 gross square feet new building, and includes offices, workspaces, meeting spaces, collaboration spaces, damp labs, robotics labs, drone lab, gallery spaces, assembly spaces, classrooms, study spaces, recording studio, bicycle storage/showers, event space, catering kitchen, and a caf . The project will include demolition of existing foundations from the previous Tolman Hall, new utility connections, a lower underground level, as well as exterior sitework, courtyards, and landscaping. The CM/Contractor will be required to include design-build packages for Shoring, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Exterior Skin/Fa ade, and Exterior Building Maintenance. The project is required to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDTM) Silver Certification, a requirement of the UC Policy on Sustainable Practices. The proposed project will strive for LEED Gold or Platinum. Contractor required documentation for LEED is part of the scope of the project. The project is considering pursuing WELL certification. The following bidders have been prequalified to bid on this project and will be provided access to the RFP documents via BOX (No Bids from Trade Contractors are being solicited at this time): - Clark Construction - DPR Construction - Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. - Truebeck Construction - Turner Construction - Webcor Builders The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the work. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: General Building License Classification, License Code B
