A. The City of Corpus Christi ("City" or "Owner") hereby issues this request for bids ("RFB"). The City is seeking bids from firms interested and qualified in Instrumentation and IT-related construction, including FOC communications and SCADA integration. B. The project includes the restoration of a dam monitoring instrumentation system and includes the following components: (a) Installation of new vibrating wire extensometers; (b) Installation of new vibrating wire piezometers; (c) Installation of new wire leads from vibrating wire instrumentation to instrument panels; (d) Installation of instrument panel power supply, instrumentation data collection, and communications equipment; (e) Installation of new FOC conduits and FOC communications cables and patch panels; (f) Installation of new stationary robotic total station survey system, related wiring and components, and its shed structure to continue monitoring established dam survey points; (g) Ensure all components of the monitoring and surveying systems are functioning properly and their data signals are reporting to the dam operations control room for use by the City's SCADA system; (h) Installation of new vibrating wire tiltmeters and related conduits and wiring; (i) Cleaning and televising relief wells and discharge lines; (j) Cleaning and treating select piezometers; (k) Cleaning and televising horizontal drains; and (l) Purchasing a new inclinometer probe. C. The solicitation consists of single base bid. The work is to be substantially completed within 335 days. Question Deadline 02/28/2024 The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, to re-advertise for new bids or to proceed with the work in any manner as may be considered in the best interest of the City.
