Project: Bridge Group 43A - Mohegan Limits: Broncos Highway Sta. 262+50 to Sta. 271+00 City/Town: Burrillville County: Providence Rhode Island Contract No. 2020-CB-023 and R.I. Federal-Aid Project No. BRO-0673(002), County of Providence, Town of Burrillville, Rhode Island, is for the Bridge Replacement, Mohegan Bridge No 673 (43A) -- Broncos Highway over Branch River. The total project length is approximately 0.16 miles. The work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of, but is not limited to: utility relocation; removal and disposal of the existing two simple span steel girder and reinforced concrete slab superstructure in its entirety; partial removal and disposal of existing reinforced concrete substructure abutments and pier; deep foundation installation to strengthen existing pier footing; constructing new concrete pier columns and cap; excavation and backfill; erecting a new two span continuous steel girder bridge superstructure with composite concrete deck: concrete patching repairs to portions of existing substructures to remain; partial reconstruction of existing back walls and beam seats; application of waterproofing membrane and placement of bituminous pavement over waterproofing membrane; partial depth and full depth approach pavement reconstruction; micro milling bituminous pavement; installation of stormwater management systems; cutting and matching pavement; sawcutting bituminous pavements; concrete curb; bituminous berm; steel beam guardrail; signing and striping; site preparation; plantable soil and seed; maintenance and protection of traffic; and all other tasks and incidentals necessary to complete the work of this Contract. A performance bond of one hundred (100) percent of the contract price with a satisfactory surety company will be required of the successful bidder.
