Site work for a civil project in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This has been awarded to Weston & Sampson and bidding will start around Summer/Fall 2021 *The original solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The Town of Barnstable’s existing wastewater system consists of the Town’s Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF), and its associated collection system. The collection system dates back to 1937, and has approximately 55 miles of sewer piping and includes 27 pump stations. The Town is beginning to implement its 30-year, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP), which has been estimated to include over 1 Billion dollars of work. One the foundational pieces of infrastructure will be the proposed pump station located at 1456 Falmouth Road at the intersection of Phinney’s Lane and Route 28 (hereafter referred to as the Phinney’s-Rt 28 Pump Station). This new pump station will ultimate serve the area west to Route 149, south to Nantucket Sound, North for the majority of Phinney’s Lane, and east to approximately Old Strawberry Hill Road; conveying all this flow to the WPCF. In total, it is expected that over 7,000 properties, or approximately 1,5 MGD (Average Daily Flow), will ultimately be connected via 140 miles of sewer/forcemains to the pump station.
