Floor CoveringThe Coweta County Board of Education invites you to bid on furnishing and installing new floor covering in selected areas of the following schools: Welch Elementary School, 240 Mary Freeman Road, Newnan, GA. 30265 Madras Middle School, 240 Edgeworth Road, Newnan GA. 30263 Central Office Building, 167 Werz Industrial Drive, Newnan, GA 30263 The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive all formalities in bidding, to be the sole judge of quality and equality of the several bid proposals and to award the contract to the most desirable bidder. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bids are opened. All bids shall be submitted on the provided bid form. Any bids exceeding $100,000.00 shall include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid.A bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security. No personal checks, cashier's checks, certified checks or cash will be accepted in lieu of the bid bond. Performance and payment bonds amounting to 100 percent of the contract sum will be required. All bonds shall be written by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia, listed on the Federal Register and acceptable to the owner. General Scope of Work 1. Remove and dispose of existing floor covering and base in areas to receive new floor covering and base. 2. Prep substrate as required. 3. Install new VCT floor covering and cove base. 4. Clean up all construction debris and remove it from site.
