Work of this Contract comprises general renovations including civil, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical of Sam Houston High School located at 2000 Sam Houston Dr, Arlington, TX 76014 for the Arlington Independent School District. Project Scope includes but is not limited to: . Full restroom area demo and remodel areas "A" and "C". . Selective demolition and remodel of locker rooms and areas "X" and "Y". . Select door panel and hardware replacement. . Upgrade interior door keying system throughout. . Upgrade access control at select exterior doors. . Removal and replacement of ceiling tile system and lighting throughout in hallways . Removal and replacement of flooring throughout in hallways and select classrooms. . Roof replacement in select areas. . Interior signage installation throughout. . Mechanical electrical and water heating systems upgrades. Arlington ISD uses an online bidding system (IonWave) that conforms with all laws. Subcontractors and suppliers interested in bidding for jobs related to the Arlington ISD 2019 Bond package need to bid directly through the construction managers. The Contractor will be given a Notice to Proceed for all aspects not involving work on site (e.g., for purchasing, submittals, ordering materials, etc.) on May 22, 2023 pending receipt of their Performance and Payment Bonds. The Contractor shall not be able to commence on-site work until after receiving a 204 second Notice to Proceed for that work. MILESTONES Construction Start June 1, 2023 Interior Alternation Complete August 1, 2024 Roof Work Complete August 1, 2024 Electrical Switchgear and Panels Complete August 1, 2024 TIME OF COMPLETION Undersigned agrees to commence work under this Contract within 10 days of receipt of written Notice to Proceed from the Owner and to Substantially Complete entire work by: August 1, 2024. Proposal Security must accompany this Proposal. Security shall be made payable to Arlington Independent School District in amount of five percent of total Proposal Sum. Security shall be by certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable proposal bond by surety licensed to do business in Texas.
