As of January 9, 2023, the project has been awarded. Construction is expected to commence March 13, 2023, however, a timeline for completion has not been confirmed. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Rehabilitation of 3 Clariflocculators including replacement of truss arms, scrapers, center cage, motor and new VFDs; Rehabilitation of 24 dual media filters including replacement of underdrains, media, wash troughs, and structural work; West Filter Gallery piping and valve replacement including replacement of filter gallery piping and electric actuated filter valves for four filters including new 24-inch backwash flow control valve and flow meter; East Filter Gallery piping rehab including filter pipe repairs, new filter effluent valve actuators, new 24-inch backwash flow control valve and flow meter; Plant Control System (PCS) upgrades including replacement of six filter RTU controllers with Modicon PLCs, signal relocation, filter console modifications, MOSCAD RTU replacement, fiber optic network reconfiguration and new patch panels, replacement of network switches, and new filter UPS; Relocation of about 400 linear feet of 20-inch pipeline (Treated water Fort Worth backup supply); Construction of new Chlorine Contact Basin including civil site, excavation, shoring, deep foundation, concrete, misc. metals, piping, valves, mixers, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA modifications; Replacement of caustic feed pumps; Construction of cast-in-place concrete chemical containment trenches and installation of new chemical piping at various locations throughout the plant site; and Replacement of motorized entrance gates at two locations.
