Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work for which bids are asked includes the following: The project includes the construction of approximately 600 LF of asphalt bike path. The project will include cast-in-place structural extension of an existing box culvert and installation of new cast-in-place wing walls and railing. Work for the structure extension shall include removal of existing wing walls, installation of the structural extension and wing walls, regrading and restoration of disturbed area and wetlands around the structure. Wetland and waterway disturbance and restoration are anticipated as part of this project. Bike path work includes fill and addition of gravel base over the existing rough graded bike path as needed to achieve proposed grade, placement of asphaltic pavement and grading and restoration of terrace and disturbed area behind path. This will also include necessary clearing, grubbing, tree removals, driveway replacement, installation or reinstallation of concrete ramps, and associated grading and restoration. The anticipated substantial completion date is June 18th, 2020 and final completion date is July 2nd, 2020. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Kevin Lord, 1702 Pankratz Street, Madison, WI 53704. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages.
