Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

As of June 17, 2020, a general contractor has not yet been awarded. The installation and maintenance of erosion control and temporary safety measures during construction, clearing and grubbing, demolition, bypass pumping, earthwork, replacement of the influent screening basket and grit removal facility with new headworks facility containing a center flow bandscreen, washer/compacter, grit vortex removal system, grit cyclone and classifier. Upgrades to the influent pump station and aeration systems including piping modifications and the replacement of the four (4) existing submersible solids handling pumps, replacement of the existing aeration blowers with positive displacement blowers, installation of a precast air piping trench with traffic rated cover. Construction of a new pre-engineered metal building and fiberglass building. Upgrades to the Dillsboro lift station including the replacement of the two (2) existing submersible solids handling pumps. Installation of a new standby generator, improvements to the existing electrical systems at WWTP #2 and the Dillsboro lift station, improvements to the existing instrumentation and control systems at WWTP #2 and the Dillsboro lift station and the restoration of surfaces. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined)
