Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Sylva, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
*All bids rejected. At this time there is no timeline for a rebid. The content team is actively seeking a rebid timeline.* THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF: Construction of new headworks, including new screens and grit removal. Upgrades to the influent pump station, including piping modifications and the replacement of the four (4) existing solids handling pumps. Cleaning and modifications to the existing activated sludge treatment basin, including concrete rehabilitation and painting of the existing interior steel walls. Construction of a new electrical building including all equipment and piping. Upgrades to the Dillsboro Lift Station including the replacement of the two (2) existing submersible solids handling pumps. Installation of a new standby generator, improvements to the existing electrical systems at WWTP #2 and the Dillsboro lift station, improvements to the existing instrumentation and controls systems at WWTP #2 and the Dillsboro Lift Station. The Contractor is also responsible for the installation and maintenance of erosion control and temporary safety measures during construction, clearing and grubbing, demolition, bypass pumping, earthwork, stormwater improvements and the restoration of surfaces.
