This project is to renovate an existing gymnasium and to add a small vestibule to the front of the building for a total of 27,183 sq ft. The scope includes wood floor extension and re-finish of the existing, new mezzanine structure and bleachers, relocation of concessions, renovation of guest bathrooms, new finishes in locker rooms and bathrooms. Bleachers are retractable on the floor level and fixed above the new mezzanine. Design is the responsibility of the contractor. Door hardware bidders are to provide a schedule with their bid. No schedule is provided in the construction documents. New mezzanine is to anchor to the existing CMU walls running parallel to the court. Steel joists are to be installed with plywood over metal deck. The demo package includes demolition of the bleachers and structure, concrete for wood floor extension, Concessions, Concrete for plumbing, opening for vestibule, all flooring (not athletic wood floor), and vestibule openings. Project start date will be April 20, 2020. Project completion date is October 30, 2020.
