Site work for a civil project in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work area is located at Terminal 46 (401 Alaskan Way), City of Seattle, WA 98104. APPRENTICE UTILIZATION REQUIREMENT A. The apprentice utilization requirement is at least 15% of total labor hours, on the project overall, will be performed by Registered Apprentices. B. Apprentice inclusion goals are at least 15% of Apprentice hours by minorities. C. Apprentice inclusion goals are at least 10% of Apprentice hours by females. The Work includes; The Port of Seattle is implementing a Starmwater Improvements Project to install a water quality treat-ment system a.t the Terminal 46 container facility, Basin 2. The improvements involve installation of an. underground pre-cast storm. water quality vault system and replacement of the existing con-veyance piping (outfall) to treat runoff prior to discharge. Installation of the underground vault structure and conveyance piping involves localized excava-tion zones requiring shoring and dewaterin.g for deep excavations, as well as temporary outing of stormv,Tater from the upland ter-minal area during installations. Improvements also include local-ized dock rehabilitation, backlit!. and restoration to match existing pavement grades. NOTICE REGARDING BID OPENINGS AND PRE-BID MEETINGS UNTIL APRIL 10, 2020 amid covid--19 concerns. Due to the Port of Seattle tak-ing measures to respond to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Bid Opening meetings will now be hosted online or by telephone. The Engineer's estimate range for this project i.s $2,500,000 $5,000,000. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, money order, or surety bid bond, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Port of Seattle, Performance and Payment bonds will be required with the Contract. Time limit for substantial com-pletion of the work is 210 calen-dar days. The Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality, to accept any alternate bids, and to make such award that it deems to be in its best interest and pursuant to the terms of the General Conditions. Contract time extends from Award of the contract through Contract Completion as defined in the General Conditions.
