The replacement includes the conversion of the can lift station into a submersible station. Work includes bypass pumping, demolition of (2) existing pumps, piping, and valves to abandon pump can. Installation of two (2) new submersible pumps, top slab, piping, valves, valve vault, electrical panel and control panel. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the City of Holly Hill, Florida, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. NO bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the bid opening without the consent of the City of Holly Hill, Florida. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Contract one hundred percent (100%) Performance Payment Bond which must be recorded by the Clerk of the Court, Volusia County, and enter into a Contract for Services with the City of Holly Hill. All bidders are required to complete and submit the "Public Entity Crime Sworn Statement", Form #PUR 7068, as designated by Florida Statutes, Section 287.133(3)(a), with their bids. The City of Holly Hill is not responsible for the U.S. mail or private carriers or messengers in regard to mail being delivered by the specified time so that a bid can be considered. This is a federally assisted project and is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act, which include DavisBacon (Certified Payroll), 24 CFR 85.36 (bonding requirements), Section 3 & M/WBE and related acts. Laborers and mechanics employed by general contractors and subcontractors performing construction work on this project shall be paid wages at rates not less than the prevailing rates as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. The prime contractor is responsible for the enforcement of wage compliance and support documentation for the duration of the project and may be held liable for wage restitution. The applicable information regarding the laws and regulationsstated above are included in the bid packet. No bids received after the time and date specified for the opening will be considered. The City of Holly Hill, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all non-substantial irregularity in bids reviewed, whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the City.
