Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Design plans call for the construction of a 131,857-square-foot, three-story above grade fitness / recreation center; and swimming pool.
Construction of a new recreation centre to include an aquatics facility, gym and fitness facility, as well as a single indoor ice sheet. The site is located west of Ray Gibbon Drive, on a parcel of land donated by Rohit Land Development (located at the northern edge of Cherot Neighbourhood). Outdoor amenities will include pickleball and tennis courts, a spray park that converts into a skating rink in the winter months, and a bike skills park. Site address is 500 Cherot Blvd. TIMELINE: Detailed planning and design work will proceed in 2026; construction start is planned for 2028. Project schedules are on contingent on funding approvals. Further project details and schedules may be confirmed late 2025/2026.
