Orders Mailed to Out of State Contractors Are Not Subject to Sales Tax. NCDOT - 002 - Pavement and Structure Rehabilitation The date of availability for this contract is July 26, 2021. The completion date for this contract is May 14, 2023 This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to overlay the existing bridge deck with silane deck treatment, silane barrier rail treatment, bridge joint demolition and replacement, and epoxy coating the tops of caps. Work includes: portable lighting; existing bridge deck surface preparation by shotblasting the existing bridge deck; overlaying the prepared bridge deck with silane deck treatment; existing barrier rail surface preparation by shotblasting the existing barrier rail; applying silane treatment to the existing barrier rail; bridge joint demolition; installation of foam joint seals; epoxy coating and debris removal on tops of bent caps; disposal of demolition and waste material; seeding and mulching all grassed areas disturbed; and all incidental items necessary to complete the project as specified and shown on the plans. Work will be performed on the existing bridge at the following location in Mecklenburg County: 1.) Bridge #291 - US 29/US 49 Connector over I-85 The contractor shall provide all necessary access; underdeck platforms, scaffolding, ladders, etc.; provide all traffic control; provide all staging areas, material storage, waste disposal; provide environmental controls to limit loss of materials from sawing equipment, and chipping equipment; and all else necessary to complete the work. The contractor shall be responsible for fulfilling all requirements of the NCDOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures dated January 2018, except as otherwise specified herein
