OGS intends to secure the services of a Construction Manager (CM), to act as an advisor to the Office of General Services, Design and Construction Group (D&C) during the design and construction of Forensic Identification Unit Building in Batavia, New York. Provide above noted consulting services for Forensic Identification Unit Building, Headquarters Building addition and renovations, and site improvements at State Police Troop A Headquarters. The estimated construction cost is $13,200,000. The FIU Building is approximately 14,500 SF and includes an evidence storage wing with a vehicle analysis garage and a wing with offices, laboratories and support spaces for computer crimes investigations and forensic investigations. A prime can get credit for their status (M or W). For example if a contract has a total 30% goals, the firm will need to make up the remaining 15% with a WBE and MBE combination. The Headquarters building was built in 1974. The addition is approximately 3,900 SF and includes training room, conference room, break room toilet room and vestibule. The Headquarters renovations include utilities to the addition, HVAC improvements, accessibility improvements, and may include hazardous materials. The site work includes grading, landscape, storm water, utilities for the buildings, modifications of existing utilities, and modifications for code or regulatory requirements at the time of bid. Repair and replacement of existing site features is part of this scope and includes increasing parking lot areas, sectional pavement replacement, pavement overlay with shimming and milling, pavement striping, concrete sidewalks, concrete curbing and tree removals. Under the overall supervision of the Regional / Area Supervisor, the CM shall organize, coordinate and direct the completion of the project(s) so-as-to achieve a successful project and provide inspection services as required to ensure construction compliance to project documents and code. D&C reserves the right to award additional projects for these services at this location.
