Saving Project...

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in West Palm Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of July 7, 2020. Project was abandoned. This project will not be rebid by the City. The MWBE subcontractor goal for construction services is 15% of the total contract value. Contractor shall furnish and assume full responsibility for all labor, material, construction equipment and machinery, transportation, tools, appliances, fuel, power, light, telephone, water, sanitary facilities, temporary facilities and all other facilities and incidentals necessary to perform the improvements at City of West Palm Beach Lift Station No. 53 (LS 53) site as shown in the construction plans and described in the technical specifications for the Lift Station No. 53 Improvements project prepared by Brown and Caldwell, for the City of West Palm Beach, dated 2017, including the costs for all labor, supervision, servicing, taxes, bonds and insurance, permitting fees, traffic control, security, miscellaneous costs, warranties, general conditions, overhead and profit. Lift Station No. 53 (LS 53) is currently a duplex (i.e. two pump) lift station. The station is a wet pit/dry pit configuration that is nearing the end of its useful life and presents maintenance challenges for City staff. This station also has site access issues due to the layout and location of the station. LS 53 is located within a residential neighborhood at 1505 42nd Street in the City of West Palm Beach, FL. Currently, all wastewater in this area is collected by a gravity collection system which discharges directly into the LS 53 wet well. The average daily flow of LS 53 is approximately 0.70 million gallons per day (MGD). As part of a previous construction contract to rehabilitate LS 53, permits from the Building Department and Health Department were obtained. Both permits are currently active. In addition, under the previous contract, some construction work was executed. Since most of the demolition work was completed, currently LS 53 is running on bypass. Also, the shoring required for the installation of the wet well is in place. Project Description: The general scope of this Work is to convert the existing wet pit/dry pit lift stations into a submersible pump-type station and generally upgrade the overall site. As part of a previous construction contract to rehabilitate LS 53, some construction work was executed. Dur
