Demolition, site work, new construction, remodeling and renovation of a mixed-use development in Ephrata, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a 156,000-square-foot, 512-bed detention facility; for the demolition of a 36,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for the remodel of a 54,000-square-foot detention facility.
The project consists of work of two separate facilities that will be phased in order to accommodate the services in which the buildings provide for the County. New County Jail – This project is a new build of approximately 156,000sf and is to include 512 secure jail beds, booking, laundry, kitchen, sallyport, medical/infirmary, jail administration and support spaces. Remodel of the Existing Law & Justice Building – After completion of the new jail building, and the appropriate services are relocated then there will be demolition of approximately 36,000sf and remodel of the remaining 54,000 to provide additional support and courthouse space.
