Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Stony Brook, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot, three-story above grade laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
CR Number: 2064728 Stony Brook University is seeking the services of a construction management firm to provide construction management services for a new building, the Institute for Discovery and Innovation in Medicine and Engineering. The new 70,000 gross square foot building will be the fourth building constructed as part of the University Research and Development Park, located in Stony Brook, NY. The Institute for Discovery and Innovation in Medicine and Engineering will be a 70,000 gross square foot, two-three story research lab facility containing lab spaces appropriate for medical research, engineering labs and computer labs. The building will also house a vivarium. The building will employ systems designed to reduce the carbon load of the building in an effort to conform to the SUNY Chancellors policy of making buildings Net Zero Carbon ready. The project will be built with state capital funding, and will be managed directly by the University. Interested firms must be able to demonstrate successful experience in providing such service of equal or greater magnitude in a facility of similar size and scope. Interested parties should contact the procurement office as indicated below to obtain a copy of the RFQ, which includes the required format for the statement of qualifications.
