Site work for a road / highway in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The improvements include but are not limited to; replace and upgrade traffic signal equipment at the intersections of Green Street at Tilley Street, Tilley Street at Bank Street, and Bank Street at Sparyard Street/Firehouse Driveway. In addition to replacing the traffic signal equipment the project will improve ADA accessibility and add emergency preemption equipment for improved fire response. The bidder agrees that 5% of the awarded contract value shall be performed by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) certified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation as a sub-contractor or owner-operator of construction equipment. The bidder must indicate with their bid the DBE firm(s) it intends to utilize to meet the above stated percentage and submit the pre-award DBE Commitment Approval Request with the bid forms. Bid and performance bonds required as stated in terms and conditions. Equal Opportunity Employer, minority/women owned businesses are encouraged to submit a proposal. Prevailing Wage rates apply.
